With our 2025 Bravesgiving Gala just a few weeks away, we are thrilled to welcome Robin Burrow, a celebrated educator, children’s advocate, and mother of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, as our keynote speaker. This fundraising event, which celebrates courage, hope, and the power of community, will take place on November 15 at the Sharonville Convention Center.
Named the 2024 Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year, Robin is a retired elementary school teacher and principal in Ohio who now serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Joe Burrow Foundation. She also holds a senior leadership role with the Appalachian Children’s Coalition, working to improve the health and well-being of children in underserved communities. Her experience and heart for kids will bring a powerful and inspiring presence to the Bravesgiving stage.
Robin will be joined by her husband, Jimmy Burrow, vice president of the Joe Burrow Foundation. A former NFL and CFL defensive back, Jimmy is also a retired college football coach who served as defensive coordinator at Ohio University for 14 seasons. Together, the Burrows share a deep commitment to children, education, and community. Their presence reflects the very heart of Bravesgiving.

“Robin and Jimmy Burrow have built their lives around helping others rise, in classrooms, on the field, and throughout their community,” said John Otten, CEO and Co-Founder of Brave Like Me. “Robin and Jimmy remind us that true leadership starts with heart. Their message is one of strength, service, and unwavering belief in what’s possible for every child.”
The evening's events will also feature Jennifer Loeb, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati, as our Storyteller. Under Loeb’s 27-year leadership, the Cincinnati House has grown from 20 to 177 rooms, becoming the second-largest Ronald McDonald House in the world. A foremost voice in nonprofit leadership, culture, and fundraising, Jennifer brings emotional depth and unmatched authenticity to every story she shares.

WLWT Anchor Megan Mitchell will also emcee the evening for the second year in a row. An award-winning journalist, Mitchell has been an anchor and reporter with the Cincinnati NBC affiliate since 2016.
While former Cincinnati Bengal David Fulcher is no longer able to join this year’s event, we are grateful for his early support and hopeful he can attend in the future.
Now in its third year, Bravesgiving has become one of Cincinnati’s most meaningful nights of celebration and purpose. Guests will enjoy a celestial-themed celebration complete with a chef-curated dinner, signature cocktails and exclusive silent and live auctions featuring unique experiences and one-of-a-kind items, all while making a meaningful impact in the lives of brave children facing complex medical challenges.
“What started in Cincinnati less than three years ago to honor my son’s legacy is now reaching kids across the country,” said Otten. “From joyful adventures to powerful pet reunions, Bravesgiving fuels the kind of impact we once only dreamed of.”
