At Brave Like Me Foundation, we believe that the power of stories can ignite courage and spark joy in children facing complex medical conditions. Brayden’s Books is a giving program that provides carefully selected books to children and their caregivers at Ronald McDonald Houses and hospitals across the country.
These books aren’t just stories—they’re gifts of hope, bravery, and strength that children can take with them, keeping a piece of inspiration close wherever they go.
How the Program Works
Brayden’s Books partners with Ronald McDonald Houses and children's hospitals to provide a stocked collection of inspiring books. Our goal is simple: every child receives a book they can keep forever that will inspire them to be brave, believe in themselves and build compassion and friendship.
Finnegan, The Football:
Created Perfect, Special and Good
Co-written by NFL star Trey Hendrickson and John Otten, CEO and Co-Founder of Brave Like Me, Finnegan, the Football is a joyful children’s story about belonging, confidence, and discovering that what makes you different can also make you strong.
Through Finnegan’s journey, kids are reminded that they are created perfect, special, and good. With illustrations by Ruthie Hopper bringing the story to life, every book purchased helps the Brave Like Me Foundation deliver stories of courage, comfort, and hope to children facing complex medical conditions across the country.
